VSE fuel system saver for 2024+ Duramax

Just installed mine today. Was pretty straightforward. Mine has the same bend as you are showing. And you're right, those lines don't go back on easy at all. I do notice mine is taking about 5 seconds longer to start now.

I did that this morning, seems to be much better now. Did you have an "extra" o-ring attached to the water separator filter? Thanks
Negative. That may be why you're having issues. I asked VSE they told me to throw that rubber away.

Make sure you re-do the priming procedure when you reinstall the separator

Got a reply from Drew @ VSE saying the same thing. O-ring not needed. Wish they would have said something to that effect in the instructions, Oh well. Starts like it did again so that's all that matters.

Installed mine today on my 2024 3500. Getting the original filter canister removed was a royal pain for me. The fuel lines came off easily enough, but I struggled for a long time getting the electrical connector to come off. I ultimately had to unbolt the bracket from the frame, then remove the bolts attaching the canister so I could discard the bracket entirely. At that point, the canister was only left hanging by the connector and I could finally get my hands up there to fight with the release tabs. Once that was done, the rest was pretty straightforward.

I agree that VSE could step up their game a little with the instructions, as I had the same question about the O-ring.

Also had the same issue with the bracket plate bowing, but it feels secure enough and I’m not worried about it going anywhere.

In the end, no leaks, no codes, and it fired right back up, so I’m happy.

Yup mine's been on for over a year 8500+ miles and no problems. Did a fuel filter replacement a few months back and it took me 5 minutes tops to replace both filters vs the mess of OEM.

I find eBay has the best price on Baldwin filters. Definitely shop around.

Yeah, I definitely felt like it was worth the additional work in a planned environment to save future me a lot of headache on the side of the road in an unplanned adventure.
